2016 marks a new beginning for Antilles Mas Band. They will be making their first appearance as a carnival mas band at Notting Hill Carnival 2016 - but do not be mistaken as their history is deeply rooted from the veteran sound, Soca Saga Boys. A mas band who has nurtured a new generation of carnival lovers that strive to expand their passion, energy, culture and knowledge among a flourishing carnival family.
United by family, friends and the passion for Soca, AMB brings its love for carnival to the forefront.
In 2016, the veteran Soca Saga Boys start a new chapter by renaming themself to Antilles Mas Band and thus, Antilles Mas Band is Born!
Soca Saga Boys celebrates both their 21st Anniversary for participating in the Notting Hill Carnival and the 50th anniversary of Notting Hill Carnival itself. Later on that year they won an award for Best Music Played runners up at Hackney One Carnival 2014.
2008 was a special year as our tour in Germany gave us the fortunate oppportunity to play alongside two famous Soca artists Bunji Garlin and Faye-Ann Lyons.
Soca Saga Boys took their first stand as a Mas Band in 2007 at London's infamous Notting Hill Carnival. This might seem strange but the fact is that for over 20 years the Saga Boys Sound System has been partnered with other Mas Bands for Notting Hill Carnival & as a result the Saga Boys Mas section took a back seat.
